MISSION

The research center was established in 2023 by expansively reorganizing the Research Center for Theoretical Quantum Physics, in order to further strengthen the theoretical research on quantum information science by facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers in diverse layers in the realm of quantum information. We are aiming to become a “compass” of quantum information that points to the correct direction in which the progress of quantum information technology, ranging from hardware to middleware and applications, should head by describing the future of information technology.

The Research Center for Theoretical Quantum Informtation brings together diverse researchers (physicists, computer scientists, mathematicians, cryptographer, engineers and even chemists) from across NTT to pursue cutting edge research in a highly collaborative environment. Our researchers come from the five laboratories across the NTT group:
